Your choices
You can use the music previews and links without agreeing to optional tracking. at any time. Declining does not restrict access. Withdrawal stops future optional measurement; it does not undo processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
What we use and why
- Site delivery, security and preferences: the host processes ordinary request information to serve the site and prevent abuse. Your consent receipt and requested player/motion choices support site functions. We rely on legitimate interests in operating and protecting this service.
- Optional site analytics: with consent, we count page views, preview interactions, selected panels and outbound services. We may group these by day, coarse country and non-personal campaign labels. Our event tables do not store names, email addresses, raw IP addresses, full referrer URLs or visitor/device identifiers. Counts are not unique listeners or verified streams.
- Optional Meta advertising: only after consent and when configured, Meta Pixel sends browser/device/network information and selected site interactions to Meta Platforms for ad measurement, audience creation and personalised advertising. We do not send signup emails, music-account credentials or payment details to it. Meta can associate received data with its accounts; see Meta’s privacy policy and Business Tools Terms.
- Live-update email signup: if you use the optional signup form, we store the email address, signup date and the separate email-consent text. This is not bundled with advertising consent. Ask us to unsubscribe or delete it using the privacy contact. No marketing email is sent by the website itself.
Optional YouTube videos
Embedded YouTube videos are blocked until you choose “Allow YouTube & load” or enable YouTube videos in Cookies. No remote YouTube thumbnail is requested before this choice. Allowing a video connects your browser to YouTube/Google, which receives device, network and playback information under Google’s privacy policy. This permission does not enable our analytics or Meta Pixel. Uploaded videos use first-party site media instead.
The browser preference bvdlvd-youtube-choice-01 records this separate choice for up to 180 days, with no viewer identifier. Withdraw it using Cookies to remove the embedded player and stop further embedded playback. Withdrawal cannot undo information already received by the provider. External video links remain available without embedded-video permission.
Storage and retention
The essential bvdlvd_consent cookie contains an opaque consent-receipt reference and lasts 180 days. Its server record and choice history record the notice version, choices and time. Optional analytics uses a 90-day reporting window. Expired consent records, audit records, short-lived abuse limits and old aggregate counts are deleted when the service next processes consent, measurement or an owner report. Abuse-limit keys are temporary hashes of an IP address and minute; they expire after two minutes. Hosting logs have the host’s own retention terms. Email signup records are held until withdrawal or deletion; inactive lists should be reviewed rather than kept indefinitely.
Meta may set _fbp and _fbc after advertising consent. Their lifetime and handling follow Meta’s current documentation and browser controls. Changing Cookies to reject advertising revokes our Pixel consent and removes accessible first-party Meta cookies. Browser settings may also be needed for data already stored by Meta.
Local browser storage used by Studio keeps the owner’s draft settings and media backups. It is not visitor advertising data.
Recipients and international processing
The site’s delivery/storage providers (OpenAI Sites and its Cloudflare infrastructure) process information to operate this service. Meta receives advertising information only if you opt in. External streaming, ticketing and shop services have their own privacy terms when you choose to open them. Providers may process information outside the UK. The controller must maintain applicable provider agreements and international-transfer safeguards; contact us for details applying to this site.
Music-service connections
The current release hub uses direct service links. Importing a distributor’s master link does not authorise playlist changes. No native pre-save or ongoing music-account access is currently enabled here. Any future account connection will need its own clear permission request and updated privacy information.
Your rights
Depending on the processing and applicable law, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent. You do not have to provide optional analytics, advertising or signup data. Contact contact@bvdlvd.com. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or your local supervisory authority.
